Never give these people cash!!! They take your cash for a golf cart rental and when it's time to return they wanna send you a check for your deposit. That's Bs!! The park is not worth the money they charge! If I could give less than one star I would. This placing is not worth the money at all. I'll never be back or recommend it to anyone ever!! Save your money and go to a real camping spot.
The park looks cleaner but so many trees have been cut down. Once you could tent camp at the RV spots in order to have electricity no more, tent camping is primitive only now. Meaning water only. This year the ants were horrible. They did spray around our pop up but didn't last long. We had to buy ant spray and still ants every where.
The first experience since new management was not pleasant. We gave cash for payment and deposit of a golf cart and our closed in screen room. The deposit is returned to you once you return the golf cart. They deposited all the cash even deposits that people turn in and respect to get back. We stayed one night so not like the money has to be held on to very long. When we turned in the cart the lady at the front said "ok your all set thank you" and my husband said " no ma'am i get my deposit back that i paid cash for". Once she told him that a check would be mailed back for his deposit he became very upset. When someone pays cash you would think you get cash back. They DO NOT give you YOUR cash back. They had to credit the funds back to my bank card. Checks and refunding funds back on card take at least week back. What should have been done is the deposit should have been clipped to the record of the golf cart so the next person at the counter knows that should be returned to the customer. One lady checked us in and another checked us out. The lady who checked us out looked at my husband very strange when he mentioned the deposit. Like as if should not have paid a deposit.. Whoever works the front counter need to all get together to know what is going on. They need more training to work or run this business.
We have been going to Wind Point for years
From the moment we called to make our reservation, the service was friendly, and very courteous. And it just got better as soon as we arrived. The folks at Wind Point Park were great! Welcomed us in,(really friendly) escorted us to our campsite and even assisted with backing in our trailer. As soon as I got setup they came back and our entire spot was treated for ants. How about that! The grounds are all beautifully maintained, nice level lots right on the lake with full hookups.
There have been a lot of changes this last year or two
An elderly woman, who acts high and mighty, harasses those who do not have brand new campers or RV's. I paid a month just to stay during weekdays for work and left every weekend. An elderly man and elderly woman continuously peered through my windows attempting to search for something to complain about. Besides invading my privacy, they looked down their nose at me for being poor and attempting to get back on my feet again after being unemployed. I make no noise, no radio, am gone 12 hours a day for work, and they find something to harass hard working people with. May God bless you with more kindness for those who have less than you.
